Heyward's become a batting practice legend, shattering a car window and forcing the grounds crew to put a net up at the Braves spring training home at Champion Stadium in Walt Disney World Resort.
There are a number of other issues involving the Braves this season outside of their remarkable rookie.
Bobby Cox entering what he claims to be his final season, and the Braves' newest acquisitions health are becoming regular topics.

Brian McCann and Troy Glaus' deliveries of balls to the outfield have not.
Joe Thurston and Brooks Conrad are both more than qualified to be the back-up, back-up infielders.
Jo-Jo Reyes...well, he's still Jo-Jo Reyes and no matter what kind of statistics he posts, I will never have any degree of respect for him.

The Washington Nationals, who led the majors last year with 103 losses, ended an 0-11 skid Tuesday with a pair of split-squad victories.
They beat the Florida Marlins 12-3 with four home runs, including a grand slam by Willie Harris.

You can truly say that these Braves are Frank Wren's team.
He starts with some established pieces, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann and an established corps of pitchers, and filled in around them.
And you might say that he laid the pitching cornerstone almost the moment he moved up the ladder, out of John Schuerholz's shadow into the title of general manager.

It was a day of threes for both teams as the Braves and the Mets each scored three runs in two separate innings.
Atlanta broke the 6-6 tie in the 10th inning on pinch hitter, Jesus Sucre's single that ended the game at 7-6 Braves.
Sucre's hit was ruled a home run, but he was only credited with a single since he didn't circle the bases.
